Does it Pay to Pray?

Hey guys! It has been a while since you have heard of me, but the other day I was reading Why Pray (I will give you the authors name later, can't remember it now), and the very first 'day' was very good and I want to share the point of it with.

The title of it is "Does it Pay to Pray?" The author says that he is a pastor and he decided to hold a prayer time every morning. He writes that at first just about every pray was answered very quickly, but later it seemed as if God wasn't answering any more of their prayers. Soon, one of the men in the group comes up to him and asks 'does it pay to pray.' The pastor responds, "I guess it doesn't!" Well, he then writes that later he was thinking about it, and he said that if he could answer the man this day, he would say, "does it pay to talk to your wife? What do you talk to her for?" Meaning, if we just talk to God for our gain, what good does that do? We need to talk to Him expecting that His Will will be done, not for what seems good to us.

I would write more, but my time on theis library comp. is about up.

Isaiah 53-

"Surley He has borne our griefs carried our sorrows; yet we esteem him stricken
smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was crush for our iniquities... and with his stripes we are healed." Isiah 53 4-5.

The song that Seven places does is very good, and I encourage you to listen to it.

My favorite of the song is part is "with his stripes we were healed." Very profound, it's amazing what Christ did for us!

Election Day!

I love elections! Maybe that's partly because I want to do politics as a side job. But I just wanted to get on and encourage you to be praying for the elections today. Remember God's choice is the winner!
