go ahead; waste your summer

Nick kind of fumbled with the whole 'posting thing', so I'm taking over for him today. I'm guessing he'll probably post tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

So what are you going to do with you summer? I hope you don't waste it. What an awful thing to do! God gives you a perfect time when you don't have to the distraction of school, and what do you do? Yep, you guessed it, find something else to occupy your time with! To think; that you waste your God-given time on things that just don't matter! Mr. T pities the fool who wastes his summer!

Now, I'm not saying that it's wrong to have some fun during summer. That's fine! But be sure not to waste it.

So leave a comment and tell us what you're going to be doing with your summer. It's alright to tell us that your going on vacation to Alaska, but try and tell us something spiritual too!

What I am doing for my summer is studying for the A+ essentials test, which most people in the computer field usually take at sometime in their career and trying to do a weekly study of passages of scriptures and give you my thoughts at my blog. I will try to increase my knowledge of Koine Greek to give better understanding why translators have translated the Greek New Testament in the way that they did, but that takes time to learn all of that Greek.

Well, this summer I am hoping to take the CLEP test for college algebra so I don't need to take it next fall. And my prayer is that this summer would be one of doing hard things for Christ and spending more time with Him.

Well, I'm (Lord willing) going camping in two weeks. I'm hoping to do a lot of witnessing this Summer, and might do National Soul-Winning Month. I think I'll make a goal to memorize the book of James, too. :D

I still am not set on anything, God's in charge. :)

God bless,
J.J.

Mr. T is the G. Did he know Jesus though?

For me, firstly eating more scripture, for sure.

I also have the opportunity of leading Campus Crusade for Christ (our student campus ministry) at University of Louisville, with two friends, for the summer!

Plus, I'll be going to Owensboro to do some street ministry later in the summer I think!

:) Peace

Lord willing, I'm going to finish high school over the summer, which will involve writing my senior thesis. I don't know exactly what I'll write it about, but it will have a Christian theme.

You're making me feel like I'm wasting my Summer! I'll have to come up with something.

I want to try to read several more Minor Prophet books of the Bible over the summer :)

We'll also be visiting lots, BEING visited lots, helping with Kids Camp, (hopefully) helping with our churchs booths in the Teton County Fair, I want to read LOTS for the Summer Reading Program at my Library, spending time with family, hangin outside, being 'tourists' for the summer :D, and hopefully havin fun :) IF it's God's will for us to do all of those things!

PS What exactly do you mean by Nick fumbling the posting thing? We've been busy! :)

Our family will be attending a few goat shows over the summer months. And as for me, I will be continuing my journey of growing ever closer to God.
Also, I am doing a evangelist program this year as well as my Math and Science curriculum through the summer!

God Bless,
Josh

Kade, just so you know i'm not going to Alaska this year with my grandparents, but I hope to go back someday. As for me I am helping with summer childcare, VBS, and Children's camp. I am hoping to set a Christlike example with all the activities going on this summer.

I am doing a lot of basketball camps and practices, but also get to go on a cruise outside the country so that will be fun! I'm excited about my church camp I go to every year though. It's called Green Valley Bible Camp. I always grow closer to God when I go there and learn so much. While I'm learning more about God, I get to hang around my Christian friends who make camp even more fun!
