Our Head of Gold

Hey everyone.   It's been awhile since I posted, eh?  Nick was tricky enough to get me to change the song, knowing that I would be unable to resist posting.

Today, I'll just share a bit from my Morning and Evening this morning.  It compared Nebuchadnezzar's head of gold in his dream to our Head of gold--Christ.  While Nebuchadnezzar's statue had other, weaker and less desirable parts, such as the feet of iron mixed with clay compared to the head of gold, Christ's body has been glorified to match the glorious Head.

And after this, Spurgeon said to pause to think--just try to contemplate the amazing glorification we as Christians have and are being sanctified toward.  How overwhelming and awesome is our Head of gold!

God bless you all!

Seek after Wisdom

Want to know how to be wise? Well:
Proverbs 2:4-6 "If you seek for her as silver, and search after her as hidden treasures; than you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding."

So, we find wisdom by seeking after it, simple. But how do we do to seek after it? What do we do? Well, one, by correcting ourselves... when we are being foolish, we repent, and by doing this we are wise. Because wisdom repents. Hey, that's cool, point one: Wisdom repents. Point two: God gives wisdom. So another thing that we can do: pray. Because God gives wisdom!

All Christ,

Slaves

We're all slaves! Some people don't like that fact, but we are. We're either slaves of the devil, (and our passions) or we're slaves to Christ. Romans 6:22 "But now that you have been set free from sin, and have become slaves to Christ..." So there you have it, right there. But here is the cool part, even though we are slaves to Christ; if we are truly in Christ, we will want to do his will, and obey His command.

Do we fail?... Well... yes, we do, but when we do, we: repent, ask for forgiveness, get back up, and keep going.
One of my favorite quotes says, "It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit, get up, and go on."-Rocky Balboa.

One last thing: Romans 6:16 says "...you are slaves to what you obey..."
So what or who do you obey?

All Christ,

Dazzled and Delighted

We need to be delighted and dazzled with Christ every day. There is so much about Christ, that we will never completely know about Him. We're all "worshipers" we like to worship people (like sports stars, singers, etc.) But we need to be worshiping Christ! If we're not, maybe it's that we have other things in our life that are "more important" (to us at that time). The word we use... idols.

So do we get rid of these idols... No! We don't. We could try, but all that will happen is it will be replaced with other idols! What we need to do is "turn our focus on Christ, so that everything else becomes garbage!" Phil. 3:8

All for the glory of God,
