If you are a young person, you need to read this post:
I've been reading "Don't waste your Life" by John Piper lately, and the main thing to do to not waste your life, is to "...glorify God in your body..." and enjoy doing it.
Many times as young people we ask, "what do you want to do when you grow up?" Or what are you going to do to glorify God?" But I ask you, what are you doing now to glorify God? We are in our "best years" what are we doing now to glorify God, hmm? Are we being servants? Are we sharing the gospel? I also have to ask, what am I doing to glorify God? So instead of putting it off, "oh, when I have a job I'll glorify God," 'when I am married, I'll glorify God." No! We need to do it now! Do something! Go serve some way! Time is tick'n guys!

What we enjoy...
I was reading a great book by John Piper, and I knew that I needed to post on some of what I’ve read so far. At the beginning of the first chapter he talks about God’s justice and His love. And how we have turned to other things to fill us with joy, and how we were told, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength.” (Deut 6:5) Piper says, “We glorify what we enjoy most. And it isn’t God” I thought about this statement, and I thought of things I might enjoy more than God: sports, reffing, music, guitar, books, food… the list goes on. But I thought about how Jesus found his most enjoyment in his communion with his father and the Holy Spirit.
So, I ask you, what gives you the most enjoyment? Jesus’ enjoyment was in glorifying the father, and we need to follow his example and ask God to help us find us most enjoyment in Him, that we might glorify him!
For His Son’s Glory!

Work... Good?
Work is good? Well, as a teen... I don't really like to work. I mean, I do it a lot, and sometimes it's fun, but over all I don't like to work. Why is that, is it because I'm lazy? uhh... yeah... I'm a little lazy... ask my parents. Sometimes I don't like to work because it's hard or I'd rather do something else. When I do like to work, it's because I'm serving someone, earning money, or it could be that I just don't like things to be dirty. Whatever.
Psalm 128:2 "For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands; happy thou shalt be, and well it shall be with thee."
"Whether you eat, drink or work, do all to the glory of God." Well, it doesn't actually go like that, but it does say all things, and that means work! So not only should we work, but we should do it unto the Lord!
All for the glory of God,

To live and die
We need to help people see that Christianity is not just a list of do's and don't's, it's a way of showing the glory of God. We need to show them that it is built on the gospel; on the beauty of Christ, risen and reigning.
The question is not "What's wrong with this music or movie or this party or these friends?" The question is "How can I act and speak and feel so that I can help my friends see the worth of Jesus above music and parties and movies and friends?"
-And- "How can I live my life to glorify God in my body?"
-And- "How can I live to show that Jesus didn't come into the world to help us party better, But that He came to help us live and die better?"
