Aliens? UFOs?

Hey guys! Sorry I have not posted in a long time (and this is not really a post, but a question), but I am curious, do you think that aliens contradict the Bible? Please leave comments and tell us, and I will tell you all what I think later in a comment.

There are no such things as Aliens from outer space. The Bible contains no mention of them in the creation story and the Bible only mentions the inhabiting of Earth by man. UFO- Unidentified Flying Object. There are such things as these, but they are not what people think(flying saucers).

Regan- I absolutely agree with you. I believe it would also go against what Revelation says. It never mentions what happens to believers who live in Mars, or that the Anti Christ would rise up from Jupiter. Everything that happens right before the Millennium is on Earth, nowhere else.

Aliens are become a major issue in Science today. Many are spending millions, maybe even billions, of dollars constructing powerful satellites that will supposedly catch signs of life outside of Earth and try to communicate with it. They are now turning to the theory that we were seeded here on earth BY aliens! Scientists are now looking to aliens to answer their questions. If they would only know that this is a futile attempt and turn to the only One who can hear us outside of earth, all their questions would be answered.

I was going to post a long comment here, but after Nick's reply, why bother? So I guess I'll stick with a short comment.

First, the post said nothing specific about aliens from outer space. So technically, I could have commented on illegal aliens in America if I wanted. Of course, I would also have to follow that up with something about stuff I see in the sky.

Ok. I'll be serious now. The most important thing to remember is that God is in control, and He knows what He's doing. We don't really need to worry about whether there's life out there or not because nothing will happen to us that is not God's will.

I agree with Regan, in the creation story there is nothing about aliens from outer space, with this being said i highly doubt there being any flying saucers.

" in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (and flying saucers)"

that would be the version accoring to someone else...lol....i dont think that they exist.

I think that chances are, aliens don't exist. It would contradict the Bible, and even if there ARE aliens, we don't need to worry about it.

My personal opinion on it is that there are alot of unexplained things in the world. But I believe that many of them can be explained by demonic activity. Also we cannot pretend to understand everything about our world. Many strange things have been now explained by science (will a' the wisp and others) So although there is NOT intellagent life on another planet, I think there are things we will never know.

Wow, very interesting topic.

If it can't be observed, it isn't science. Just like Evolution cannot be proved (no observation = no proof), "aliens" cannot be proved unless it is truly observed, and not by an amateur video.

Aliens do not exist and neither do the saucer shaped rockets that carry them. However I would not reason against them with the argument that they have not been seen. To go so far as to say that which has not been seen is not science is in truth a bit extreme. Do not the Scriptures tell us that no man has seen God at any time? Did we personally observe the ministry of Jesus on Earth and the sacrifice He made on the cross? Yet we know these things to be true. There are better arguments against aliens.

I agree with you. And in fact, Creation is not scientific either because it cannot be observed. Don't get me wrong here, I am a believer. I am just saying that to believe Evolution or Creation takes faith. Now you are right, we have the written Word of God that is our proof, but still we cannot physically observe creation because simply, we were not there when it happened. This is just a mere definition of "scientific" observation. To tie this in with aliens, I think that it cannot be proved whether they exist or not if it is not observed because it's not observable (as of now) and I cannot except it by faith because it's not in the Bible (at least I have never read where it says a such thing). And I wasn't saying that just because it hasn't been seen that it isn't science, what I meant is that for it to be a scientific fact that aliens do exist, we need real facts, not just videos (that could have easily been "photo-shopped"). There are a lot of things believers believe that cannot be seen but we know it's true because the Bible says it's true. And I believe that the Bible is absolute truth. Hope this makes sense.

there are on such things as Aliens! And I do Believe that the world was made my God. That is Clearly what the Bible says And I believe that whatever is in the Bible is True. LIke Aliens I don't think that they are real I believe someone made them up. People say the've seen a ufo with aliens in it but I don't think that is true.

So lets bring all that down to this... There are no such things as aliens...there are no life on any other planet you would eather freese to death or die of heat. God put the earth in just the correct place and so this I believe is the ONLY planet anything can live on. And last but not least God made the world He put everything in it's place and it took him 6 days and on the seventh day he rested. The bible makes that clear. I don't believe in th big bang or evealution or that we came from monkeys.
But that is just my Opinion on the subject. it's a very intresting subject! But everyone has a right to there opinion and I just mentioned mine to share with you all!
