Sacrifice an Abomination?!

I was reading Proverbs 15 just now, and I read something that I hadn't noticed before (as always). In verse 8, it says, "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight." I thought about this, and I thought, "God enjoys it more when I pray then when some unbeliever gives millions of dollars to a charity?! Not only that but it's an abomination!?" And the answer is yes, and I think it's because when we pray we show that we are trusting in him more than we are trusting in our money or material things.

Amen! An insightful revelation - God clearly shows in verses like these what pleases Him the most: Himself. Therefore we should always keep God the quintessence of our lives.

Thank you so much for your insight on my recent post! I want to let you know you did bring a critical point which needs to be talked about, and I am digesting all the feedback I received (I love it! God has blessed me with all you brothers in the faith), and looking forward to write another post addressing all feedback received.

Please keep visiting my blog, and participate in our ongoing discussion. You are such a help to me in my process of understanding and presenting, as Spurgeon puts it, "Biblical Christianity". :)

Amen. Somewhere it says that to obey is better than to sacrifice...I don't really have anything else to say on that.

Thanks for the encouragement Roshan!

Margaret: I think it's 1 Samuel 15:22.

I would love to tell you about what I believe, Kole. I will do my best to explain it to you. At the present moment, I do not have time to explain it (go to my blog to read why), but I will answer as soon as possible. Please don't think that I will brush your questions away - I don't mind answering them. So, when I get a chance, I will answer those questions. :-)
